Looking for

A tightrope walker, her porter and their musician have come up with a show that is funny, sensitive and poetic all at the same time. On stage, three chairs - small, medium and large - symbolise the place they hope to find. As the show progresses, the chairs move, are manipulated and stacked up to form a pyramid, a kind of island of refuge where the virtuosos Katell and David cling on tightly, carried a cappella by the bewitching voice of Chloé, their alter ego. Between lyricism and quasi-instrumental percussion, switching drunkenly from one language to another, the singer adapts the rhythm and nuances of her improvisations to the movements of the circus performers' bodies. As they sing popular melodies from Portugal, Piedmont, Greece and Catalonia, the three artists take possession of the space through dialogue, the royal road to a fantasised elsewhere.
