Maldonne

We discover her in Bourg-en-Bresse with her first major play, Maldonne, an ode to female bonding and the quest for freedom. With this wildly energetic quintet, the choreographer explores the power of sisterhood in an intense dance, carried by the breath of bodies and contrasting music. Carried away by the music of Vivaldi, songs by Lara Fabian or Leonard Cohen, five women dress in a multitude of colorful and different dresses to reveal their fragilities, their rebellions and their multiple identities. As the fabrics fly, shimmer, crack, spin, drag or fall, their bodies fuse, vibrate and lift.
