Marché de Noël

Visit from Father Christmas, magical lantern parade, fairground rides, horse-drawn carriage rides and donkey rides... enjoy some quality family time. On the programme: Friday 5 December events 5pm to 8pm: Visit from Father Christmas. 5.30pm: Opening ceremony attended by the Mayor of Ferney-Voltaire, followed by Christmas carols sung by the CP, CEl and CE2 classes from the Florian, Jean-Calas and Jean-de-La Fontaine schools. Conducted by Clément Coulez, music teacher at the conservatoire. 6 p.m.: Lantern parade through the streets, with Father Christmas and Noël Enchanté, a magical musical parade by the Les Enjoliveurs company. The parade will start at Place de la Comédie. 6.30 p.m.: Musical interlude with Noël Enchanté by the Les Enjoliveurs company. 7pm: Concert by the Ferney-Voltaire Music Society, conducted by Benoît Durand. 7.30pm to 8pm: Musical finale with Noël Enchanté by Les Enjoliveurs, combining music, song and circus arts. Saturday 6 December activities 10am to 11.30am: Christmas shortbread decoration workshop. Ages 6 and up. From 2pm to 3.30pm: Christmas card making workshop, offered by the Mouvement Artistique du Pays de Gex. From 3pm to 7pm: Visit from Father Christmas. From 4pm to 5pm: Craft workshop by the City's Children's Services. 4:30pm to 5:30pm and 6:30pm to 7:30pm: Live Christmas carols. All day: Horse-drawn carriage and donkey rides. Telethon evening
