Museum missions!

Exhibition "Museum missions! Preserving, restoring, acquiring...".

Preserving, restoring, studying and enhancing collections;

Making them accessible to the public;

Implementing educational and outreach initiatives;

Contribute to the progress and dissemination of research.

These are the missions of museums as defined by the law of 4 January 2002 (Art. L. 441-2.). Some of these missions, such as keeping an inventory register, are carried out behind the scenes and remain little or unknown to the general public. This summer, the museums of Arbois are lifting the veil on these hidden but not secret tasks! An opportunity to discover the acquisitions and restorations of recent years...

ALL SUMMER
Guided tours every day the museum and temporary exhibition are open at 2.30pm and 4.30pm at the Musée d'Art, Hôtel Sarret de Grozon (by appointment for groups the rest of the year).
Guided tours every day in July and August at 10.30am, 2.30pm and 4.30pm (by appointment for groups the rest of the year) at the Musée de la Vigne et du Vin du Jura.


SEPTEMBER
Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 September 2024: European Heritage Days (details to follow).


Admission:
The exhibition can be visited with our new Museums Pass

3-museum pass (Maison de Louis Pasteur, Musée de la vigne et du vin du Jura and Musée d'art, hôtel Sarret de Grozon): €12.50 (instead of €15)

2-museum pass (Musée de la vigne et du vin du Jura and Musée d'art, hôtel Sarret de Grozon): €6 (instead of €8)
