A one-woman show freely adapted from the work of Émile Zola. Conceived, directed and performed by Carole Guittat, from the Place 84 company.
Nana is the daughter of Gervaise and Coupeau, the famous Rougon-Macquart family. A descendant of the fatal line, she is a "lorette", a peasant girl who gains access to the upper echelons of society through her uncontrollable magnetism. Men are lost to her, and women are jealous of her.
"A sun-coloured fly, flying from the rubbish, which, buzzing, dancing, casting a glitter of gems, poisoned men just by landing on them, in the palaces where it entered through the windows."
