Hélène Combal-Weiss has been invited to take up residence at the Courbet family farm in Flagey in spring 2025.
A video-maker and visual artist, Combal-Weiss explores the ways in which we relate to living things and nature through sensitive works that explore the transmission of know-how. The new works on show at Flagey, the fruit of two phases of artistic production, produced in situ, echo the "Art and Nature" theme of the Pôle Courbet, and in particular the "Paysages de marche" exhibition at the Musée Courbet. Hélène Combal-Weiss's "textile landscapes", coloured with plants from the plateaux and valleys between Loue and Lison, offer a sensory and poetic experience, inviting the viewer to walk through this new environment.
