Where our waste goes: a tour of the Jura sorting centre

-

Serre Vivante takes you on a tour of waste sorting!
The European Week for Waste Reduction runs from 22 to 30 November and aims to raise awareness of waste reduction and promote responsible consumption practices.
On Wednesday 26 November, Serre Vivante invites you to find out more about what happens to our waste.
SYDOM du Jura has been sorting and recycling the waste of all Jura residents for 30 years. During this 2-hour visit, participants will observe what happens once our bins are collected and transported to the sorting centre in Lons-Le-Saunier, and meet the people who ensure that our packaging is recycled. The SYDOM organiser will also explain the challenges and workings of the local household and similar waste prevention programme.
The bus leaves Dole at 1.45pm from the Avenue de Lahr car park (opposite the Passerelle du Prélot and the marina). Return around 6pm.
Places are limited: bookings must be made with the association on 06.30.32.50.45 or by email at Serre.Vivante@wanadoo.fr
Price €10 (free for members)
