What if we told you it was... straw? by Melody Paris / Exhibition of straw marquetry.

Mélody fell in love with straw in 2021 and is passionate about this quasi-meditative art, which reveals all her creativity while having a relaxing effect. Her creativity decorates boxes, frames and trays, as well as paintings, a cross between jewellery and works of art.
Straw Marquetry is a traditional art that consists of creating decorative motifs using coloured straw strands.
It's also a luxury art because of the rarity of the technique (creating complex patterns from thin strips of natural straw) and, of course, the labour involved.
