Renversante" show
As in Renversante, the book by Florence Hinckel, director Léna Bréban unpicks the clichés of a world where female domination reigns. In Léa and Tom's society, the streets and schools are named after famous women and the children are looked after by men. So the two fraternal twins try to understand why the feminine takes precedence over the masculine. How can they break out of the straitjacket of entrenched assumptions about what a woman should be and what a man should be?
The play's inventiveness, humour and derision are punctuated by screenings of misappropriated advertisements that ironically demonstrate the inequality between men and women.
