Spectacle : Une pièce sous influence
Three years after the death of their daughter, Anna allows herself to be persuaded by her husband, Mathias, to sell their house. But on the eve of signing the papers, as they return from the carnival, Anna informs Mathias that she has invited the future owners, a young couple, over for a drink. Thus begins a night of revelations between people who are complete opposites. A drummer sets the pace live and accompanies the incessant movements of the performers, who prove to be as funny as they are touching. In lively, everyday language, this dramatic comedy transforms before our eyes into a fascinating game of massacre, combining absurd humour and a Hitchcockian atmosphere. It's as if John Cassavetes had adapted Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?
