Un fort un jardin

Group exhibition of works by Tanguy Barthelet, Gabrielle Ory, Loïs Renou and Jérôme Wieder.

These fragments come from larger forms, detached, displaced and reinvented by the eye. They act as zooms into the material, as passages between the visible and the almost erased. As we approach them, the contours dissolve and continuity becomes fragmented. Each piece becomes autonomous, but retains the memory of the whole from which it came. Between these fragments, relationships are woven, correspondences, connections, echoes. They don't describe, they extend, opening up reading spaces, stories that already exist, discreet, ready to emerge.

From January to June 2025, Gabrielle Ory, Jérôme Wieder, Loïs Renou and Tanguy Barthelet were in residence at the Institut supérieur des beaux-arts de Besançon.

During their residency, each artist carried out research and creative work in the technical workshops: screen printing, photography, risography and ceramics.
