Visit to a 15th-century timber frame reconstruction site

-

Guided tour, 1 hour, booking essential

In 2007, the former casino of the town of Salins-les-Bains was destroyed by an impressive fire. Long before it became a gaming venue, the building, known as the Maison du Pardessus, was home to the Grande Saline salt water elevation system dating back to the 12th century. As part of the European Heritage Days, this building, which is usually closed to the public, is exceptionally opening its doors. During a tour lasting around an hour, discover the story of the reconstruction of this framework, based on 15th-century plans, in the company of a master craftsman.
