Guided tour of the Eyewear Museum

Every 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month at 2.30pm (except during school holidays and the summer months), the Musée de la Lunette invites you to discover the great history of spectacles and the surprising story of Morez and the industrialisation of spectacle manufacture.

Opened in 2003 in a contemporary building, the Musée de la Lunette is unique in France. Located in Morez, the capital of the French eyewear industry, the museum offers two routes: the local history of metal-framed spectacles, which began in 1796 thanks to the skill of a master nail-maker, and the world history of spectacles through the Pierre Marly collection, the "couturier of spectacles". A unique collection to discover, thanks to a fun and educational tour. Temporary exhibitions enhance this fascinating visit.
