Guided tours of Château de Chevreaux
From 27 June to 21 September 2025 (period and times to be confirmed).

Situated in the foothills of the Jura mountains, the Château de Chevreaux is perched on a promontory 470 m above sea level. It already existed in 1158, and since then several families have succeeded one another. In 1637, the French army completely destroyed the site. The castle lay in ruins.

Find out more about the history of the castle and the incredible story of the Friends of Chevreaux Châtel association, which is still rebuilding the site with the help of various archaeological and international projects, as well as talented craftsmen: stonemasons, ironworkers and blacksmiths.

The guided tour takes you into the tower, the dwelling and the cellars. Discover the incredible framework of the hexagonal tower, the large cellars of the dwelling...

The site's esplanade is open to visitors all year round, and information panels explain the stages in the site's reconstruction.
