La Route est Belle

In Osselle-Routelle, 20km south-west of Besançon, right next to the Eurovélo 6, the new Les Lacs d'Osselle leisure centre and the caves (the oldest tourist cave in France, open to visitors since 1504) straddling the Doubs and Jura, La Route est Belle à Routelle offers you quick and easy access to a host of outdoor activities, as well as the chance to enjoy cultural leisure activities and discover the rich heritage of Greater Besançon and its 68 municipalities. Check out the Doubs Travel website and the brochures available (Grand Tour du Doubs à vélo, for example) to get the best out of the Doubs valley. In the words of cyclists who have achieved the feat of cycling the Euro vélo 6: it was the Doubs valley that enchanted them!
In 2023, we renovated the ground floor of our 18th-century house to offer guests 2 bedrooms, one of which opens onto a large room with a fully-equipped kitchen. You can also wash and dry your clothes before setting off on new adventures.
As we're very aware of the importance of alternative forms of transport, we've adapted our rates to suit guests who arrive by bike, on foot, on rollerblades, by TER (Saint Vit or Torpes station), or by Ginko bus (no. 56 from Besançon Micropolis to Osselle/Byans/Doubs stop Osselle-Routelle Centre in 20 minutes). You'll find full details of the measures we're taking (waste sorting, rainwater recovery tank, breakfast with locally sourced and/or home-made products....) to help protect the environment.
We speak French, English and Spanish, and we're learning German so we can communicate easily and give you a warm welcome!
