Conliège - l'Ermitage

-

A path alternating between the old railway line and its many engineering structures (tunnels, viaducts, etc.) and pretty paths offering a panoramic view of the valley.

From the "Conliège Saugeois" car park, cross the D 678 by the pedestrian crossing on the left. Pass "Combe des Tartres", take the rue Derrière les Jardins and go down the ruelle Marchande to the left. Turn right into Rue Haute, then left into Rue du Four. Go up to the right, then to the left. At "Courtillettes", turn left and reach "Conliège Gare".

> Short variant (medium level, 10 km, 3 h 30, white-red markings): at "Conliège Gare", climb the stairs and reach "L'Hermitage".

Go straight on along the greenway to the cemetery of "Perrigny".

Go up to the right on the Rue du Vieux-Mont. After "Noyselet", continue to climb, then take the forest track on the left.

At "La Plaine" (viewpoint over Lons-le-Saunier), turn right at an acute angle onto the track that runs through the wood. Pass "Le Pylône" (on the right, cemetery and Saint-Étienne-de-Coldre church) and continue along the road. At "Coldre", turn right. After "La Ferme Romaine", go down to "L'Hermitage" (group of buildings maintained by a conservation association; shelter, picnic table, view of the valley).

Go towards the "Croix des Équinoxes" by the path overlooking the valley, on the hillside. Go down to the "Chemin du Facteur", then continue along the path on the side (belvedere of the Tilleuls). Continue straight ahead along the road, then fork right.

At "En Dodon", continue along the forest track. It bends to the left.

At "La Guillotine", turn right and reach the viewpoint (view of the Revigny valley). Follow the path along the edge of the plateau.

At the post "Les 100 Marches", go down to the left into the depression. Go through the tunnel, down the stairs and follow the path that winds through the undergrowth. It goes down to "Combe des Tartres". Cross the D 678 and return to the car park.
