STEP 1: From the Mairie car park, follow the yellow and blue signs onto rue de la mare.
At the next junction, take the small road on your left that passes the Henriot du Tilleul farm.
STEP 2: Continue along this road, leaving the path leading to Puy de Velle on your right. This country road gradually becomes a path that leads into the forest.
STEP 3: Follow the signs to join the GR59, which you will take by turning right towards "Hyèvre-Paroisse".
STEP 4: All along this route, enjoy a superb view of the Doubs valley. Head back down towards Hyèvre-Paroisse. Do not enter the village, but take the gravel path on the right. You will again enter a small wood which leads to the D331.
STEP 5: Take the D331 on your left for about 100 metres and take the second track on your right that leads to Combe Renard. At the edge of the wood, immediately take the footpath signposted to the right and follow it as far as the cross marking the next junction.
STEP 6: At this point, you have two choices: either follow the signs for Villers Saint Martin back to your starting point (5 km), or follow the usual route to Lomont-sur-Crête.
STEP 7: To take the usual route, turn left at the hairpin onto the path towards Lomont-sur-Crête through the Bois de la Versenne. Continue to follow the yellow and blue signs to Lomont-sur-Crête via Rue du Bois Joli.
STEP 8: Turn right through the village and leave the main road at Rue du Château d'Eau. This road runs into the forest for 2 km and then turns right towards Villers-Saint-Martin.
STEP 9: At the next junction, take the second path on the right and pass a house with a grey roof. Cross the D19E and continue along the path opposite to your starting point.
