Leaving Besançon at the Tour Bastionnée de Chamars (Jardin de la Gare d'Eau), follow the Via Francigéna route to the "Notre Dame de la Libération" monument at Chapelle des Buis before following the "Circuit de la Chapelle des Buis". The route ends on the outward path.
