From the car park, turn right onto rue de la vielle église. The road will narrow and become a footpath. Continue along this path. You will pass through clearings, woods and along cliffs offering panoramic views of the Doubs valley.
Continue along this path until you cross the D328, which you will take on the right.
Leave the road for a path on your left. At the end of this path, rejoin the road and a few metres further on, take the track on the right. Stay on the path, keeping to the left.
You will pass through a beautiful pine forest on the Perugia coast. Be sure to plan your route before you set off, as this section through the pine woods above Combe Dache is rather poorly signposted. Before the fields, turn right to join a path running alongside a densely wooded area.
Turn right at an angle for about 100 m and continue along this path as it bends to the left.
Follow this path until it meets the road. At this junction, turn right and then slightly right again onto a footpath, which becomes a gravel path and takes you back to the village.
At the cemetery, cross the railway line (making sure there are no trains approaching). Then take the rue de la vielle église back to your starting point.
Favourite: the legend of Gargantua's armchair
The giant Gargantua, passing through our beautiful region, wanted to stop and drink from the Doubs river. He sat down on the right bank and the ground sank under his weight, leaving an imprint. Thus was born the "Fauteil de Gargantua", which can be seen on this route.
