Archelange : At the southern end of the Serre massif, this village has a small but interesting heritage; the St Marcoul d'Archelange fountain, reputed to be miraculous but with a rare geological feature, the water disappearing into a fault a few metres after the washhouse, the church with its Comtois bell tower preceded by a calvary, a few crosses with pattés and the belvedere de la charme [D 5] above Archelange where you can contemplate the panorama over the Doubs valley and the Jura massif (in good weather you can see Mont Blanc).
Gredisans: On the edge of the forest, the village has some beautiful winegrowers' houses, a beautiful 15th-16th century chapel, a remarkable fountain and several crosses, including the remarkable Boyon Cross [D 5] (listed as a Historic Monument), which is 2 m high and has a niche cut into the stone.
