Along the way, explore the architectural and natural treasures that the Jura Mountains have to offer. After crossing into Switzerland, you'll continue your adventure in the Jura Mountains, where medium-sized peaks, often covered in forest, mingle with dry or wet valleys, cluses, meadows and mountain pastures.
Along the way, make a diversion to Mont d'Or to admire its spruce landscapes and endless pastures. In Mièges, don't miss the former priory of Cluny, with its magnificent late-Gothic church. Continue on to the source and falls of the Ain, two natural sites not to be missed.
At Montrond, climb the path to enjoy exceptional panoramic views before reaching Poligny, where a stop to taste Comté cheese is a must. At Château-Chalon, follow the banks of the reculée, renowned for its vineyards, and discover this village, listed as one of the "Most Beautiful Villages in France". The vines will accompany you for a while, providing an enchanting backdrop.
On the way, stop off at the Tufs waterfall, then explore various viewpoints offering breathtaking scenery. The route also takes you along the crest of the Revermont mountains to Mont Charvet, before passing through typical Petite Montagne villages. Finally, cross the border between the Jura Mountains and Burgundy to round off this unique adventure.
