The cookers
This walk is accessible to as many people as possible from Lézat, a village in the Bienne valley, to discover its viewpoints.
You'll be able to see the entrance to the Lézat railway tunnel, bored between 1906 and 1911, which is part of the Ligne des Hirondelles. This 123 km-long railway line, punctuated by 36 tunnels and 18 viaducts, was built thanks to the genius and tenacity of many men.
The workers were fed in kitchens set up in houses now known as "Cuisiniers".
Juniper trees, also known as "poor man's pepper", bear witness to the dryness of this poor, chalky soil, characteristic of dry grasslands.
