Sinkholes

This short family walk is easy to get to. A complex network of underground water circulation in limestone rock gradually forms "funnels" on the surface of the ground: these are called dolines. The water sometimes reappears in the open air in the form of resurgences.

STEP 1: On this tour, you'll discover the different stages in the creation of sinkholes: a sinkhole in formation, a collapsing sinkhole, etc.

STEP 2: On leaving the car park, take the path on the other side of the road and follow the signs for the "sentier des dolines" trail.

STEP 3: You will pass close to the Petit Siblot chasm. Don't worry, access is gated and strictly reserved for qualified cavers.

STEP 4: Admire the various sinkholes in this undergrowth landscape.
At the end of the loop, you will see sinkholes in formation. Return to your starting point.
