Radiant Pathway

Discover the forest of Chaux, the trades it once housed and the site of the Baraques du Quatorze.

At the "Baraques du 14" post, take the forest road towards "La Clauge". Take the straight forest road on the right, then the road on the right. It reaches the edge of the wood and the clearing.

At the "Route du Sud" post, turn left at the edge of the wood towards "La Tanche" (explanatory board on the use of trees by the Navy).

There, pass the stream and continue towards "Montbarrey" by the large forest path. After a right-left turn, enter the village by the chemin des Riottes. Take the D7 to the right towards the church.

At the "Montbarrey" signpost, go towards "Sous la Motte féodale" (explanatory sign). In the valley, continue towards "Les Grands Prés". Take the D11 to the left for 300 m. At the "Canal du Moulin", take the path on the right for 800 m. Turn right, reach "Montbarrey - Port au bois" (raft-making site) and continue on the right towards "les Fontaines".

Take the D11 on the left. Do not cross the bridge over the Loue (explanation on the demarcation line). Just before, at the post "l'Octroi", go down the stairs, pass under the bridge, then cross the campsite on the edge of the river (> be careful!). Cross the reach, then continue through the woods to the post "Sur les Côtes".

Go up to the left into the Chaux forest, cross the D7, use a succession of forest lanes, changing direction several times (> follow the signs!) and continue along the straight forest lane. It ends, after running alongside the railway, at the post "Chemin de la Verrerie".

Turn right under the TGV line bridge and go straight ahead to "Les Cliat Cliats".

Take the road to the left, cross the bridge and continue along the road to the right to "Baraques du 14".
