A village of around 400 inhabitants situated in the heart of the Jura vineyards and on the Route Pasteur, as it is said that the famous scientist attended the village school (opposite the church and château).

- La Voie des Salines: a greenway for pedestrians and cyclists. It links the two UNESCO saltworks at Salins-les-Bains and Arc-et-Senans. It passes through the Forêt de Chaux, France's 2nd largest state-owned forest, then winds along the Loue before crossing pastures.
