Domaine des Aronias

With its magnificent view over Lake Chalain, our 60m² gîte for 4 people is on one level and offers every comfort to ensure you enjoy a peaceful stay in the heart of nature.
This gîte is located on the edge of a hiking and mountain-biking trail that will take you directly to Lake Chalain, where you can enjoy water activities such as swimming, pedal-boating and fishing. You can also fish in our pond.

Around ten kilometres away, you'll find the Cascades du Hérisson, an emblematic site in the Jura, and just a little further on, the 4 Lacs, the Pic de l'Aigle and the 4 Lacs lookout point. You're in the heart of the Pays des Lacs region, yet just 20 km from the first Haut Jura ski resorts and the Haut Jura Regional Nature Park. The Jura Mountains are on our doorstep, as is Switzerland, where you can easily make a short excursion. The nearby Jura vineyards invite you to take a trip to Arbois, Château Chalon and discover the remote village of "Baume les Messieurs" with its cave, waterfall and famous Abbey.

This gîte is part of our farm, which is certified organic and has a special production of "Aronia" (a small fruit with many virtues, the richest in antioxidants, vitamins and minerals). The produce is entirely processed and sold at the Domaine. (dehydrated berries, pure juice, jelly, powder, granules, etc.)
The estate is a protected natural area, where flora and fauna have their rightful place. It stretches from Lake Chalain to the River Ain. It's not unusual to spot roe deer, hares, wild boar, badgers, foxes and all sorts of birds, birds of prey and waders on a walk through the property, which is close to the Ain valley, a veritable migratory corridor.
We are also a member of the "France Passion" network, and welcome campervans affiliated to this network for one night (maximum 5 campervans at a time).
