Ideally situated on the heights of Morbier, this timber-framed house comprises a first-floor living room with open-plan fitted kitchen, dining room and lounge (with sofa bed for 2 people), WC. On the 2nd floor there are 2 bedrooms, the first with a king-size bed (160x200) and the second with 2 single beds (90x90), all very comfortable and perfect for getting back into shape after a day's skiing. Each room has large picture windows, with a direct view of the village of Morbier, the Bienne valley and the Dôle massif, all in a mountain decor combining wood and modernity, and a shower room with WC. Outside, there is a terrace (accessible from the dining room) with breathtaking views of the mountains, complete with garden furniture, sun loungers and barbecue. The cross-country and downhill ski slopes are just 2 kilometres away: the Marais ski resort in Morbier is ideal for beginners, while Les Rousses offers a wide range of cross-country and downhill skiing. You can also visit the eyewear museum in Morez, the Paul Emile Victor centre (museum and ice rink) in Prémanon and take a day trip to Switzerland. The owners, Jean-Charles and Aurélie, will be delighted to advise you on places to visit, ski areas, etc. Additional information: airlock on the ground floor for storing your skis, snowshoes, bikes, etc. Access to the gîte is via a staircase about fifteen steps up: you arrive in a room with a washing machine and tumble dryer, where you can also store your belongings (clothes, shopping, suitcases, etc.).
