Gîte des Pas Sages

Close to Switzerland and in the heart of the mountains, the Chalet des Pas Sages is an independent gîte with 3 bedrooms, a mezzanine lounge, a large dining room, a fitted kitchen, a bathroom, a toilet and an attached garage.
There is a large tarmac car park in front of the house, which can accommodate camper vans or several vehicles. This courtyard is cleared of snow daily in winter.
At the rear of the gîte there is also a large green area of several acres, which is maintained during the summer months for outdoor games or dinners on the terrace under the arbour.
The gîte is situated in the mountains on the banks of the river Doubs, close to ski resorts, lakes (Remoray and Saint Point), tourist sites and attractions (the Mont d'Or, the source of the Doubs, the Comté cheese maturing cellars at Fort Saint Antoine, the Mont d'Or railway tunnel linking Switzerland to France, the Fourperet dam...), the downhill mountain bike world championship tracks, the ski jump for the world ski jumping championships, summer tobogganing at Metabief, the nature reserve house at Labergement-Sainte-Marie, trout fishing sites, hiking and snowshoeing trails, windsurfing, canoeing, paddling and pleasure boat hire, etc....)
The gîte is situated below the rue du Doubs, which leads to the footpaths of the Fourperet nature reserve. It is located in a very quiet residential area by the river. The neighbourhood is made up of local residents (cheese makers, customs officers, pensioners and cross-border commuters). This is a very safe area with no traffic.
The chalet sleeps a maximum of 14 people, including 3 children and 2 adults on a mezzanine floor in a reversible sofa with a separate Bultex mattress. The rest of the sleeping accommodation is divided into 3 separate, noise-isolated bedrooms.
There is a separate toilet and a large Italian shower in the bathroom with fan-assisted heating.
A solid oak table that seats 12 with extensions is set in the centre of the dining room, which also has a sofa next to the stove for relaxing.
On the mezzanine is a lounge with a sofa and footstools. A television with a Netflix subscription and a blue ray DVD player complete the set-up. The WIFI network, supplied by cable, is of excellent quality and can be used for video conferencing.
The bedrooms are spacious and equipped with storage space and everything you need for sleeping (sheets, pillows, duvets, blankets....).
The house is very sunny in both summer and winter, with large windows on all floors.
The gîte is insulated from the outside and has 3 heating systems:
=> Aerothermal: A reversible heat pump that also provides air conditioning in summer.
=> 4 latest-generation electric auxiliary radiators
=> A high-powered pellet stove in the north corner of the dining room.
All the equipment is plentiful and the associated supplies are also available (pellets, washing powder, Nespresso capsules, cleaning products, hoover bags, spices, towels, toilet paper, etc.).
A garage adjoining the building can be used to store and dry clothes and shoes in winter. It is also a storage area for the equipment provided with the gîte (ski equipment, sledges, snowshoes, mountain bikes or mountain bikes, gazebo, barbecue, outdoor table, outdoor games equipment, boules....).
The Gîte des Pas Sages is a place to relax, enjoy charity and take part in outdoor activities to recharge your batteries and have fun. It welcomes families as well as groups of friends or colleagues.
