Independent accommodation in an old farmhouse where the preservation of the environment and the enhancement of the rustic heritage dominate. It is an old farmhouse renovated by us, typical of the Bresse habitat, but also making a large place for solar energy through a solar water heater and a photovoltaic installation. We have chosen to limit our ecological footprint: salvaged materials and second-hand objects, insulation with hemp straw, repair rather than replacement, water-saving system for the showers, choice of ecological paints (non-toxic too).
The natural setting of the gîte - the Bresse bocage and its many hamlets - makes it an ideal place for cycling, either for sport or for the family, on the network of small roads to discover the ponds and the Bresse architecture. But, within a radius of about sixty kms, you will also have access to more prestigious sites: Beaune, Dole, the Abbey of Beaume-les-Messieurs, the natural wonders of the Jura mountains and the Lake District etc.
