Nanchez, a new commune in the heart of the Plateau du Grandvaux, brings together the communes of Prénovel, Chaux des Prés and Les Piards. This grouping means that more activities and services will be offered in the commune of Nanchez.
With the Prénovel peat bog and the Les Piards forest, all surrounded by magnificent farms typical of the Jura Mountains, you are right in the heart of the Haut Jura Regional Nature Park. With more than 100 km of cross-country ski trails, there's a trail to suit every level of skier: from a playful area for first-time cross-country skiers to a longer, technical black run. There are also plenty of signposted snowshoe routes: you can criss-cross the areas on either side of Nanchez.
And if you'd like to try your hand at other activities, there are toboggan runs and snow tubing, dog sled rides, Nordic ski touring, etc.
