Le bouchon des radeliers
In a retro setting, Sissi and Jean-François offer old-fashioned cuisine, featuring flavours from yesterday and today, such as calf's head, coq au vin jaune et morilles, croutes aux morilles, fondues au comté, fondues aux morilles et au vin jaune, burguer comtois, the menu du jour during the week, home-made poêlées, as well as local produce, frogs in season and trout gougeonnette on the terrace in summer. At Sissi and Jean-François Grundisch's, you change era as soon as you cross the threshold. With her crimson lipstick and 1950s bistro outfit, the owner guides you through the knick-knacks, enamelled advertising plates and vintage tin cans. You arrive at a table with a gingham tablecloth and wooden seats. Here, the origins of Lyon are mixed with those of Franche-Comté. Guests feel right at home in the small rooms, where every detail is a source of amusement and anecdotes. On the plates, you'll find grandma's cooking revisited and generous, with an emphasis on local produce.
