Le Castel, a gourmet restaurant in Les Planches near Arbois, has been awarded the Table distinction by the "Logis d'exception" guide. Every day, the chef and his team offer a cuisine based on fresh seasonal produce, as much of it organic and local as possible. Home-made" is the order of the day.

The restaurant is elegantly decorated, with beautiful white tablecloths, chic crockery and bunches of flowers. When the weather is fine, you can enjoy lunch or dinner on the shady terrace alongside La Cuisance, a charming river that adds a bucolic touch to your meal. You'll be in an idyllic setting, right down to your plate. Thanks to Pascal Mathieu, your eyes will delight just as much as your taste buds. The chef takes particular care with the presentation of his dishes, making them as beautiful as they are delicious.

The cuisine is both creative and traditional, so you can sample some excellent Jura specialities such as poularde de Bresse au vin jaune et aux Morilles, which has been a house tradition for over 35 years, improved over time as the cuisine has evolved.
The wines are chosen with care, and the chef will be delighted to recommend those that will enhance your dishes. The wine list offers a fine selection of wines, some of which are premier grands crus classés, as well as organic, biodynamic and natural wines.

New temporary terrace!
This summer, as a complement to its evening and Sunday lunchtime gastronomic offerings, Le Castel Damandre will be delighted to welcome you to its temporary terrace on the water's edge, just a stone's throw from the waterfall.
In a natural setting, take advantage of an economical formula, served at lunchtime from Monday to Saturday, ideal for a gourmet and convivial break in complete simplicity. Whether you're just passing through or are a regular visitor, this new offer allows you to discover another facet of their cuisine, more accessible but still tasty.
A private car park is available for customers' convenience.

The Castel team awaits you every evening and Sunday lunchtime from Easter to the end of August in their restaurant and every lunchtime from Monday to Saturday only in July and August on their temporary terrace. Special menus are available for the various events that punctuate the year, such as Percée du Vin Jaune, Valentine's Day, Easter, Mother's Day, Saint Hubert's Day, when you can dine to the sound of hunting horns, and New Year's Eve.
