Restaurant la Boissaude

High altitude restaurant. Above the village of Rochejean. Access possible by road or cross-country ski trails.
Our old farmhouse has been converted into a chalet-restaurant and is located at 1,229 m in the heart of the pastures, an ideal setting for a gourmet break, at lunchtime, in the evening or for a snack.
Let yourself be convinced by the cuisine of the Haut-Doubs and enjoy the freshness and calm, with family or friends, along the small roads winding between the fir trees. On sunny days, a pleasant terrace (shaded if necessary) allows you to enjoy your meal while keeping an eye on the children and the playground, or simply to eat outside.

In the cold season, access by car, via the Rochejean road only, allows you to park your vehicle in front of the Chalet-Restaurant, in the centre of the Mont d'Or ski area, with its 40 km of cross-country ski trails (classic or skating) and its snowshoe trails. You can also access it via the ski slopes, from the various reception points in the area.
The ideal place to prepare your hikes or ski outings with refreshments!
Tea, chocolate or hot wine and homemade pancakes are available on arrival or on the trail.

The rest of the year, mountain biking, walks or sporty hikes, mushroom picking, observation of the fauna and flora, everything is an excuse to come and enjoy the climate and calm of the Mont d'Or, and come and taste a regional salted meat or a meat cooked according to your taste and accompanied by potatoes in the braise. When the weather is fine, you can reach our chalet-restaurant by the roads to Métabief or Longeville Mont d'Or, as well as Rochejean.
