La Ferme du Mas Tabouret

This geographical situation with heavy and impermeable soils confers two particularities to our farm: the omnipresence of water and the culture on hills.

Like the rare micro-farms of our type, La Ferme du Mas Tabouret is constantly experimenting in order to optimize the cultivation techniques and the abundance of biodiversity. The guiding principle of our practices being no pesticides or fertilizers, old seeds, no plowing, reduced use of fossil fuels, hand work, water saving... In addition to the production of vegetables and fruits, we have been working for several years on the preservation and dissemination of two old and forgotten breeds of local poultry: Gauloise grise and Gauloise noire.

Installed since 2014, our farm has seen the blooming of about fifteen ponds and swales, a low-stem orchard, nourishing hedges as there were many in Bresse, three poultry yards.

Faced with the environmental crisis that is unfolding, there are now positive alternative solutions and we are committed to disseminating them to professionals and individuals alike. We regularly organize initiations, trainings and discoveries of the fundamental principles of permaculture by different themes.
