Created in 1856 by Faustin Girardet, a native of Champagny, Elixia lemonade is one of the oldest traditional lemonade makers in France. The popularity of this new fizzy drink spread in just a few decades, and soon won over the whole world.
In 2002, the sixth generation took up the torch: Hugo Sublet revitalised his parents-in-law's business by modernising the packaging and introducing new flavours, while relying on marketing to propel Champagne lemonade to the top of the range. In 2007, the company moved out of its small premises in the town centre and set up its production line in the disused premises of an old sawmill. In the space of fifteen years, millions of bottles have left the Pearl of the Jura to be sold all over France and abroad... Today, the company is committed to the future by investing in a new bottling line, which will double daily production from 15,000 to 30,000 bottles a day. The installation of 1,000 m² of solar panels is also planned, to self-generate the energy that "bottles the Jura".
While Elixia owes its success to a recipe that has remained unchanged since its creation, its organic lemonades have also found a following. These traditional drinks with their unique flavours are made from natural products, without artificial colourings or flavourings.
In classic or organic versions, plain or flavoured, Elixia is winning over consumers more than ever... So, do you fancy the fir tree, mirabelle plum, chocolate or 24-carat gold version? A glass of lemonade on its own, or with a cocktail or mocktail?
