Apremont - Piste bleue de ski nordique

The volunteers at SKI DE FOND D'APREMONT welcome you every Saturday afternoon and Sunday during the winter season to the foyer: equipment hire (children's and adult alternative skis, snowshoes, sledges), bar and off-pitch room on site.
The blue run promises to satisfy all types of skiers: fun and technique for all levels on a 7km loop that alternates between all the landscapes of our plateau (passage through the forest, in the coombs and high up in the meadows with a clear view).
Step by step:
Starting in the centre of the village near the toboggan run, you'll enjoy a wide, open trail with views over the village before tackling a flat uphill section. After crossing the road for the first time, you tackle a downhill valley before reaching the Col du Sentier after a fairly technical uphill trail.
From the Col du Sentier, the blue trail takes you for a good 1 km on a downhill slope to the small clearing at Bac Sous le Mont. Here you can see the wooden duck-shaped tub where a spring flows and a wooden sculpture in the shape of a chamois. The track turns right again onto a forest track that you follow uphill.
Leaving the wood leads you to Les Prés d'en Haut, where you can enjoy a beautiful, unobstructed view of the newly-built wind turbines. The track then crosses the Nantua road and after a technical descent, you'll tackle the gas climb that will take you back to the starting point.
