Aqueduc gallo-romain souterrain de Briord

-

Classified as a historical monument in 1904, the underground gallery was dug by hand in ancient times by both sides of the Briarette hill, with a 10 m offset, which was then rectified. The aqueduct was fed by water diverted from the Brivaz. Although its openings remained blocked for a long time, its memory has always been perpetuated. A 17th century work mentions it. At its other end is the archaeological site of Les Plantées, exposing the ruins of the foundations of the chapel or church that once stood there.
