Au Petit Léon - Librairie café
Newly installed in one of the town's historic sites, part of the former Visitation convent, this bookshop-café has quickly become one of Saint-Amour's key cultural venues. More than just a bookshop, it's also a tea room and a cultural venue offering exhibitions and a host of events and activities throughout the year (meetings and book signings with authors, games afternoons, concerts, etc.).
The bookshop offers a wide range of books, from adults (novels, well-being, personal development, tourism, art, history, etc.) to children's books, including comics and manga. A book hut has been specially designed for children, inviting them to discover books and getting them interested in reading again. There are over 5,000 books on display, as well as a wide range of board games, cards, DVDs, decorations and lots more!
Laetitia and Anne-Laure will be happy to advise you on your search!
This bookshop-café is a friendly place where you can take your time! It's a great place to take a break and read a book, while enjoying tea, coffee or local drinks and sweets.
But why "Au Petit Léon"? It's a tribute to a great friendship between Léon Werth, a novelist and journalist who lived in Saint-Amour, and Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, who dedicated The Little Prince to his "best friend in the world".
