Horse-drawn caravan ride through Upper Jura
The Comtois horse, a powerful, docile, experienced and courageous draught horse, will be your travelling companion.
PROGRAM :
DAY 1
Welcome at the Auberge Loisirs LE SILLET in Longcochon from 9am. Presentation of your stay and installation in the caravan. Explanation of the tour (road book) and safety instructions. Departure for the 1st stage.
DAY 2
Tours can be adapted according to their duration. On some stages, you can have your meals in small village inns or at the farmers'. You can also cook in your caravan.
Every evening you will find a quiet place to settle down, water supplies and a meadow for your horse.
Stages of 8 to 15 km on average.
DAY 3
Return to the hostel by 6 pm at the latest.

What are the conditions for renting a carriage?
You are of age, beginner or experienced, who cares! The important thing is your desire to do this activity, to get involved in an adventure of several days with a companion: the Comtois horse. You don't have to be afraid of it! On your arrival, we will give you all the necessary advice to make you autonomous, but we are never far away if needed.
Your caravan: Designed for 4/5 people, very functional.
You have: a bench bed for 2 people, a folding table, 2 single beds (possibility of adding a bed), a gas stove with 2 burners, a cupboard equipped with crockery, an ice box (with ice-creams changed at each stage), a cupboard, a jerry can for your water supply, a chest and a seat.
Please bring your own bedding: sleeping bags or sheets and blankets, pillows and pillow cases.
Our tours :
They are established by us. You will walk between 8 and 15 km each day depending on the difference in altitude. You will walk on the second plateau of the Jura.
To guide you, we provide you with : A 25,000th scale map with the route of each stage. A detailed road book. Ideas for visits and walks to do at each stage. A wealth of useful information!
Our stages:
At each stage, you will find a quiet place to settle down, a water supply, a meadow for your horse. You can even bring your own barbecue!
Your horse :
The Comtois is a powerful, docile and courageous draught horse that will accompany you during your stay.
Number of participants: From 2 to 4 people (maximum). The 5th person will sleep in a tent.

Included
Caravan accommodation, instruction and guidance provided by qualified equestrian tourist guide, hire of horse and equipment, parking for caravan, field and fodder for horse.
Not included
Transport to and from destination, sheets, food, drinks and personal expenses, any tourist taxes, stopover showers (€2), administration fee (between €7.50 and €15 - it depends of the length of your stay), pitch for tent (€5/day), the deposit (€350).
OPTIONAL :
Cancellation insurance (3.5% of the total price).
