Belvédère du Rachet

Set on a rocky spur above the Chaux-des-Crotenay plateau, the Rachet lookout offers a life-size view of the "Derrière Cornu" forest, the Baume rock, the Saine and Lemme gorges and the bucolic Nozeroy plateau, and even Mont Rivel on a clear day.

You can also see the ruins of a 12th-century fortified castle and the church of Sainte-Marguerite, two buildings that bear witness to the rich past of an area where man first settled over two thousand years ago.
