From hills to rivers

You'll love... the small mountain roads in the heart of nature. Walks and relaxation are the order of the day.

In the morning: La source de la Saine, a signposted path with reading tables takes you to the springs that emerge naturally from the scree. The Langouette waterfalls and gorges. For an hour, walk along a welcoming and fun trail. Take a guided tour of the Villa Palladienne, Syam's 19th-century château.

In the afternoon: Les pertes de l'Ain, a discovery trail will guide you through one of the most picturesque sites in the Jura, showing the river rushing through a deep, narrow gorge, only to reappear a hundred metres further on to form a waterfall 17 m high and 45 m wide. The historic town of Nozeroy lies close to the source of the Ain, a famous resurgence where water comes from underground rivers.
