The Centre Culturel du Grandvaux is a local arts teaching establishment of the Communauté de communes La Grandvallière. It provides a public service teaching music, theatre, visual arts and yoga. Classes and workshops are taught by local arts teaching assistants in premises that are specially adapted and dedicated to these activities. The Cultural Centre currently has 190 students.

INSTRUMENTAL CLASSES :

WOOD: flute, oboe, clarinet, saxophone
COPPER: trumpet, horn, trombone, tuba
STRINGS: guitar, violin, cello, double bass
KEYBOARDS: accordion, piano
PERCUSSION: drums, classical and Latin percussion, keyboard percussion

VOCAL COURSES :

LYRIC SINGING
VOCAL JAZZ & CONTEMPORARY SINGING
CHILDREN'S CHORALE: included in the first 4 years of musical training

MUSICAL TRAINING: Musical Training is a general course common to all disciplines. It enables students to acquire the elements of musical language and optimises their instrumental and vocal progress.

EVEIL YOGA-RYTHME for children aged 4 to 6
CHILDREN'S FM classes from CE1 upwards
Specific ADULT / TEEN FM COURSES

GROUP PRACTICES: Group practices are central to the school's project. They enable pupils to develop their motivation, encourage their artistic development, forge social links between them and allow them to experience the collective dimension of live performance. They take the form of :

¬ WORKSHOPS: Lyrical singing / Vocal jazz / Contemporary music / Batucada (Brazilian percussion) Yoga
¬ ENSEMBLES: string / clarinet
¬ ORCHESTRAS: introductory / junior wind / wind band: partnership with the GRANDVAL ORCHESTRA

OTHER DISCIPLINES :

THEATRE: 2 workshops for 6/10 year olds and pre-teens/teens
PLASTIC ARTS: 6/10 years and from 11 years/teen/adult
YOGA: adult classes - a complementary discipline that teaches a living art form and how to manage stage fright

THE STAGE

This is the ultimate goal of the teaching provided at the Centre Culturel du Grandvaux. Throughout the year, concerts, auditions and projects allow students to express themselves on stage and discover the facets of a living art form:
