Église de l'Abbaye
For more than 900 years, a church dedicated to the nativity of the Virgin Mary has shone on the Grandvaux. It stands on the edge of the lake, where the "imperial dome" of today's robust bell tower is reflected. In the Middle Ages, a fortified monastery stood here, surrounded by water and accessible by a drawbridge.
In winter, the church is only open on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 am to 5 pm.
However, during the school holidays, the church will be open from Wednesday to Sunday from 10 am to 5 pm.
The summer schedule (Wednesday to Sunday, 10am to 5pm) will probably be repeated for Palm Sunday, this year on 2 April.
