Étang du Cougnet

Calm and serenity emanate from this pond located on the edge of a forest of fir trees and spruces. This lake, created in 1980 by the local fishing society, is full of carp, perch, roach and pike which delight the many fishermen who frequent its banks.
For the access, two possibilities are offered to you. Instead of the path climbing the dam, I prefer the forest path, which is longer but will allow you to discover the site of "La Source du Glaçon". For all information on fishing at the pond, contact the Tourist Office of the Canton of Montbenoît.
