Easy, pleasant green routes The easy, pleasant green routes, mostly along canals and rivers, alternate in places with spells on small marked roads. You’ll discover everything about the region that is most charming : the landscapes of the Doubs, the Saône and Loire valleys, the Côte de Beaune and Côte chalonnaise vines, the cities of Montbéliard, Besançon, Dole, Chalon-sur-Saône, Nevers and La Charité-sur-Loire.
A clean, safe, flat route
Crossing the Pays de Montbéliard over 32 km, the EuroVélo 6 has
the particularity of running along the Rhône-Rhine canal and the
Doubs river, offering a route that is clean and safe, with no hills. You can explore: the Montbéliard river port and the Parc du Près-la-Rose, important architectural works such as the Pont-Canal d'Allenjoie (Canal bridge, 1926), the Pont-Levis de Courcelles-les-Montbéliard (Lift bridge, 1914), and the Ecluse de Brognard (lock).
