The Ligne des Hirondelles crosses the Jura from one side to the other, linking Dole to Saint-Claude by train. 120 km of travel between sky and earth, but also between plain and mountain, all between 300 and 950m altitude.
Embark on a day out of the ordinary to discover the town of Dole. The programme includes a 2? hour journey through the Chaux forest, the famous vineyards of Arbois, the vast plateaux of Grandvaux, the Bienne Valley... The Hirondelles line in the Jura is 36 tunnels, including one in the shape of a horseshoe, 18 viaducts, 120 km of travel between heaven and earth, between plains and mountains, at altitudes of between 300 and 950 m.

Please note: You need to be in good physical condition (5km walk with lots of stairs).
Departure: meet at 9.30am in the reception hall of Saint-Claude station.

The Haut-Jura Saint-Claude Tourist Office offers this guided tour to groups of at least 20 people, limited to 35 every Friday in May, June, September and October, and 50 every Friday and Sunday in July and August, subject to availability. Booking essential, number of places limited.
