Fort du Mont-Bart
The Fort, built between 1874 and 1877 on Mont-Bart, was the link in a national defence chain undertaken after the defeat of 1870. It completes Belfort's fortified belt by preventing it from being bypassed. The Fort has a number of interesting features, the most impressive of which are the covered internal street, bordered on either side by the barracks facades and a fully armoured room.
From the top of the Fort (497 m), you can enjoy a superb view of the Montbéliard region (orientation table).
You can also take advantage of the 7 km of forest road with playgrounds and picnic areas.
Bonus: a fun family discovery of the fort with a booklet of games for children (7-12 years), available free of charge from reception.
The fort may occasionally be closed for maintenance or to prepare for upcoming shows. For more information, contact 03 81 31 87 80.
