Fort du Mont-Bart

-

The Fort, built between 1874 and 1877 on Mont-Bart, was the link in a national defence chain undertaken after the defeat of 1870. It completes Belfort's fortified belt by preventing it from being bypassed. The Fort has a number of interesting features, the most impressive of which are the covered inner street, bordered on either side by the barracks facades and a fully armoured room.
From the top of the Fort (497 m), you can enjoy a superb view of the Montbéliard region (orientation table).
You can also take advantage of the 7 km of forest road with playgrounds and picnic areas.

Bonus: a fun family discovery of the fort with a booklet of games for children (aged 7-12), available free of charge from reception.

The fort may be closed from time to time for maintenance or to prepare for upcoming shows. For more information, contact 03 81 31 87 80 or 06 87 57 37 39.
