La Halte - Pique Nique Les Arboux

Designed for 4-season use, the convivial area offers a covered space for walkers who want to take a break or find shelter.

The facilities also include the installation of a dry toilet and the renovation of an existing hut nearby.
La Halte is located on the Grandes Traversées du Jura (GTJ) walking and cycling route.
The new facilities at La Halte are part of a wider programme in the Jura Mountains being run by the Grandes traversées du Jura and Espace Nordique Jurassien associations.
The Grandes traversées du Jura (GTJ) and Espace Nordique Jurassien (ENJ) associations, key players in outdoor activities and soft mobility in the Jura mountains, have joined forces to offer new tourist and leisure services as part of the Plan Avenir Montagnes: bivouac areas, shelter huts and social areas.
Two prototype facilities are now operational. This is the first stage in a project designed to support and promote four-season touring and outdoor activities while preserving the environment.
