Diameter of the bowl: 2.6 metres
This pipe follows on from the one made by the Scouts de France for Europipe 1992.
It was made by the Lycée Technique du Bois de Moirans en Montagne (wood frame and covering) for the 1998 Telethon.
It was then covered in composite material by Mode-Composit of Rumilly.
Ets Baroni and Sicométal were also involved in its construction.
The world's smallest pipe (length 10.1 millimetres), the work of Jacques Muyard from Sanclaude, is on display at the Pipe and Diamond Museum.
