La Vierge du Mont Carmier

It has been set up on 9 August 1855 on the Carmier Mount. Following several appearances of the virgin to the Father Colin, the founder of the religious family of the Marists, which lived on the Carmier Mount, and as the church was already built on this mountain, everybody concludes that the place of the virgin was on the Carmier Mount.

On 15 August 1855, day of the statue's blessing, Carmier and Cerdon was illuminated. Since, every evening, ladies and girls go up to light 5 "croisy" (lanterns). So every evening the virgin of Cerdon is illuminated and watch over the Cerdon.
